Machinery Vibration Analysis

Goals

What will you learn in this course:

At the end of this course, you will be able to

1) Understand the basics and physical nature of rotating machinery vibrations.

2) Select the appropriate machinery vibration measurement technique.

3) Set up instruments for the basic resolution of amplitude, frequency, and time.

4) Be aware of some causes and effects of bad measurement data.

5) Interpret and evaluate the test results in accordance with applicable standards.

6) Understand the concepts of signal processing

7) Perform vibration analysis on rotary machine components using time waveform, frequency spectrum, and phase measurements.

8) Identify different mechanical faults such as unbalance, misalignment, bent shaft, cocked bearings, structural looseness, bearings defects, gearbox defects...

9) Identify different electrical faults such as broken rotor bar, rotor eccentricity, and stator eccentricity.

10) Understand the practical case studies collected from variety of industrial issues.
