Description

"$("li:parent")" Selects all elements that are the parent of another element, including text.

Syntax

Here is the simple syntax to use this selector −

$("element:parent")

Parameters

Here is the description of all the parameters used by this selector −

  • element − Any standard HTML tag name like div, p, em, img, li etc.

  • :parent − Parent element selector.

Returns

This selector returns first child element.
