Description

"$("li:first-child")" Selects all elements matched by <li> that are the first child of their parent.

Syntax

Parameters

Here is the description of all the parameters used by this selector −

  • element − Any standard HTML tag name like div, p, em, img, li etc.

  • :first-child − First child selector.

Returns

This selector returns first child element.
