Given:

69 and 96

To do:

We have to write without performing actual addition and division , the quotient when the sum of 69 and 96 is divided by

(i) 11

(ii) 15

Solution:

(i) We know that when $ab+ba$ is divided by 11 then the  quotient is $(a+b)$.

The digits of the given numbers 69 and 96 are reversed.

Here,

$a = 6, b = 9$

If $69 + 96$ is divided by 11, then the quotient is,

$a + b = 6 + 9$

$= 15$

(ii) We know that when $ab+ba$ is divided by $(a+b)$ then the  quotient is 11.

The digits of the given numbers 69 and 96 are reversed.

Here,

$a = 6, b = 9$

$a+b=6+9=15$

If $69 + 96$ is divided by $15$, then the quotient is 11.
