Uttar Pradesh PSC Syllabus - Eligibility
Following are the major eligibility criteria required to appear in Uttar Pradesh civil services exam −

| Nationality | Applicant must be the citizen of India | |
| Age Limit | Minimum Age | Applicants of all categories must have attained the age of 21 years |
| Maximum Age | For general category applicants – 40 years | |
| For Other Backward Classes (OBC) of Uttar Pradesh – 45 years | ||
| For Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe of Only Uttar Pradesh – 45 years | ||
| For the Emergency Commissioned Officers / Short Service Commissioned Officers / Ex-Army Personnel’s of U.P. who have rendered at least five years’ service in Army, but there shall be no reservation for Group ‘B’ posts.– 45 years | ||
| For blind, Hearing Impaired and Orthopaedically handicapped persons – 55 years | ||
| Educational Qualifications | Minimum Ed. Qualification | The applicant must hold a Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized University |
| Physical Standards | Applicants must be physically fit according to physical standards for admission to Civil Services Examination | |
