Note
The Preliminary Examination (PT) consists of one paper (only) that carries 200 marks total.
The Preliminary Examination is of Objective Type (having multiple choice questions) and it carries 150 (objective type) questions.
All questions are of equal marks.
There will be negative marking and 1/3 mark will be deducted for each wrong answer.
Only PT qualifying candidates are allowed for the Main Exam.
The written examination consists of four papers.
Marks obtained in PT are just qualifying and hence no role in final selection or ranking.
Marks obtained in rest four papers (from Paper I to Paper IV of written exam) and in interview play major role in the final selection or ranking.
