Description

The Java Integer shortValue() method returns the value of this Integer as a short.

This method returns the numeric value represented by this object after conversion to type short.

The following example shows the usage of Integer shortValue() method to get short value from an Integer object. We've created a Integer variable and assign it a Integer object containing a positive integer number. Then using shortValue method, we're obtaining the short value from this object and then printed it.
