How to Copy and Paste Row Height Only in Excel?


In Excel, when we type large amounts of data, adjusting the cell size according to its height is one of the most time-consuming processes as we need to manually adjust the cell's height. When we copy the cells to another location, if we need to adjust the cells' height every time, it can be a time waste. In this tutorial, we will show how you can copy row height only in Excel. When we try to complete this task by using the paste special function, the height and width of the cell will adjust automatically.

Copy and Paste Row Height Only in Excel

Here we will first click on format, then select row height from the list, and copy the row height. Let us look at a simple procedure for copying and pasting the row height in Excel.

Step 1

Let us consider an excel sheet where the data in the sheet has different row heights as the default height, as shown in the image below.

Then select the cell you want to copy the height of, then click on cells under home, click on format, and select row height to open the pop as shown in the below image.

Select cell > home > cells > format > row height

Step 2

Then click on the cell height, use the command CTRL + C to copy the height value, and click OK to close the pop-up window.

CTRL + C > OK > Cell height

Step 3

Then click on the cell where you want to copy the row height, then click on cells under home, click on format, and select row height to open the pop-up similar to the below image.

Select cell > Home > Cells > Format > Row height

Step 4

Then again, click on the row height, use the command CTRL + V to paste the values, and click OK to complete our task.

Cell height > CTRL + V > ok
