(a) A convex quadrilateral is shown below.

(b) A regular hexagon is shown below.

From the above figure, we can observe that,

A regular hexagon has nine diagonals.

(c) A triangle is shown below.

From the above figure, we can observe that,

A triangle has no diagonals.
