Returns the inverse hyperbolic sine of a number.

DAX ASINH function is new in Excel 2016.

Syntax

ASINH (<number>) 

Parameters

Returns the inverse hyperbolic sine of a number.

Remarks

The inverse hyperbolic sine is the value whose hyperbolic sine is number.

ASINH (SINH (number)) equals number.

Example

= ASINH(55) returns 4.7005630001772. 
=ASINH(1.5) returns 1.19476321728711.
