PostgreSQL

• It is an object-relational database management system.

• It was developed by the Global Development Group.

• It is supported by Windows, Mac OS X, Linux and BSD but not by UNIX, z/OS, Symbian, AmigaOS.

• It can be extended.

• In this system, the pgAdmin tool provides the GUI.

• It provides online backup to the data.

• It provides temporary table to the system.

• It provides a materialized view to the system.

• It provides the Data Domain Object to the system.
