The discovery of electrons and the discovery of protons support the fact that atoms are divisible. Two observations are given below:

1. Ionic compounds are formed because of the formation of ions that involves the transfer of electrons.
2. The presence of isotopes for the same element is possible due to the difference in the number of neutrons.
