What is the best time to visit Tirupathi?
Tirupathi is world famous Vaishnava pilgrimage center in the state of Andhra Pradesh. It is one of the richest temples in India and the world with various legends and myths associated with it based on Lord Vishnu. Millions of tourists visit Tirupathi to take Darshana of Sri Venkateswara Swami here annually and the temple pulls about lakh devotees every day irrespective of any day in the year. The ideal time to visit Tirupathi is between the months of November to January when the climate is pleasant and calm owing to the winter season. It is an appropriate time to seek Darshana even with large crowds.
The fact is that tourists strive to get a glimpse of their deity throughout the year. However, summers are extremely hot in the Tirupathi and the temperatures are very high to be bearable for a long time.
Monsoons too can be a good season to visit this holy place but considering the geographical location of Tirupathi, winter is always considered the ideal time by travel experts.

If you are a tourist who wants to enjoy both the divinity and culture of Tirupathi then you cannot afford to miss the Brahmotsav festival. It is 9-day long festival that happens in the beginning Hindu month of Ashwin during the time of Navaratri.
This generally is in the monsoon season months of September or October. There are sacrifices, rituals, chariot rides, ceremonies that happen during this period where the Utsava Murtis (idols created exclusively for occasions and celebrations) are taken out for processions. These days are considered to be the best ones in Tirupathi.
