To understand transparency of objects.You will need a book, butter paper and a piece of glass.Now, hold the book upright on a table and place your hand behind the book. Ask your friend if he is able to see your hand behind the bottle. Repeat the same with the butter paper and the glass piece. Record your friend's observations in the following table:

Transparency/Opaque: The amount of light material allow passing through a material is the transparency of the material.
1. Transparent: The maximum amount of light to pass through the material, therefore, they are transparent materials.
Eg: Plastic, Air, and Glass.
2. Translucent materials are, which only allow light to pass through them partially.
Eg: Oiled paper, Coloured syrup, and some sheer materials.
3. An opaque object is the materials are, which don’t allow any light to pass through them.
Eg: Wood, Brick.
So, in the above question,
Butter paper is a translucent object.
Glass piece is a transparent object
