Gaurang Shah is one of the most reputed saree designers as well as a saree maker in India. One of the finest inspirations to the future generation, Gaurang shah born in a middle−class family whose background is Saree weaving. He was born and brought up in a cool and fine−woven environment. Inspired by the weaving environment, he decided to pursue his career in the field of art and culture, mostly in textile design. He was so motivated by his environment and the art of weaving that he enriched his passion for the design of textiles and traditional arts. His most loved technique is Jamdani.

So, he took the great decision of getting trained by the top traditional attire trainers and got acquainted with almost all the dress forms and their weaving techniques. For the extinction of an ancient fabric trend but also for the rebirth of the weavers who worked on that trend, be real and frank. Those kinds of people don’t work for money only because, instead of earning money by selling them, they want their products to reach more and more people and let that aura of weaving live for years and years and be transferred to more people. With his initiative, those kinds of workers have got their work back and are getting their wages and satisfaction by keeping their traditional trend in form.

Jamdani

This is the most famous form of woven cloth. This is a hand−loomed cloth made of cotton. This is mostly referred to as muslin in the ancient books. This tradition has its origin in the state of Bengal. These sarees weaved with these materials cost around 700 Rs. This jamdani literally means "a technique of weaving a detailed pattern. Jam means a flower, and Dani means a container or vase. This is usually woven by the workers who did the work during the working time.

With this technique, he was able to motivate almost half of the population around him, and he made many beautiful fabrics. This output has crawled to around 5 states of India and this has created a huge revolution in the fashion industry, mainly the textile industry. He developed a better way of weaving sarees through this technique, and this has reached almost the entire population.

In that contest, he was able to mesmerize the world with his most famous hand oven costumes. His hand−woven costumes have almost mesmerised half the population who came there, and he was given a big round of claps and praise for his work and the struggle behind it.

The Man Behind Mahanati’s Magic

The Telugu celluloid, Mahanati, has gone gaga over the public for its naturalness. One of the main reasons behind that is the costumes that were worn by the Mahanati, a.k.a. Keerthi Suresh. This person has made it look so natural with his experience and versatility in the art of making fabric. For this, he said that he had studied the vintage look of Savitri Garu very closely, and he was able to ruminate on those looks each and every minute, which made him do his greatest work. He said that he sourced heavy silk fabrics from different parts of India, like Kanchipuram and Benaras, which were enhanced with Kota, Mangalagiri, and block prints that were handcrafted on our looms by a dedicated team of more than 100 local artisans.

Sarees have been a beautiful tradition and an everlasting fashion for many years in India. However, the modern industry has now been dominating the traditional fabric industry.
