The Hyderabad Metro Rail now offers e-bikes for Metro passengers!!
Hyderabad Metro Rail Limited is offering yet another last and first-mile connectivity option for Metro passengers. They are providing Metro e-Bikes from August 15. Passengers can drive these bikes home, keep them overnight and handover them back to Metro Station the next day when they come to the station.
At present, Metro Rail is operating conventional bikes at some important stations of the city like Miyapur, Begumpet, Secunderabad, and Nagole where passengers are offered bikes on rental charges of Rs.4 per km.
This groundbreaking idea from Metro Rail authority will enable the passengers to avail e-bikes facility at just Rs.1 per km. The users have to just download the Metro Bikes app and get their identification proof verified. Of course, they should possess a valid driving license.
One more very interesting feature of this facility is, passengers, will be only charged for the distance traveled, and allowed to keep the bike overnight with them without any additional charges.
Kudos to the Metro Rail. Great way to facilitate the last and first-mile connectivity!!!
