Sustainable Fashion Designers: Role & Significance
Because of the excessive damage to the environment, which is caused by the various human activities; now, along with the national governments and international organizations, every private organization, firm, company, and other business centers, is concerned and as well as obliged to act in a manner to protect the biodiversity and conserve the environment in situ. So, among all these industries, fashion industry is also there and as per the report, it solely accounts about 10% of the world’s carbon footprint, which is highly dangerous for the environment. But the good point is, many of the brands of fashion industry realized the need of the renovations in fashion with the concept of sustainable fashion and the designers who use organically produced fibers and fabrics and/or reuse the old cloths, are known as sustainable fashion designers.
What is Sustainable Fashion?
Sustainable fashion is a movement to use environment friendly products in the fashion industry and promote environmental and social responsibility. Likewise, sustainable fashion, which is also known as eco-fashion, includes the entire process through which the fibers are produced, fabrics are made, dresses are designed, manufactured, used, and disposed of. By means of eco-fashion, not only the environment is conserved, but also human health can be improved. So, it is a potential movement to improve global biodiversity, as each individual can effectively participate.

A sustainable fashion designer is the one who creates fashion by using organic fabrics or organically produced fabrics. Such a process of making fashionable dresses is not only beneficial for humanity and the environment, but also for the entire bio-community.

Unquestionably, in today’s world, fashion designers have a very important role to play, as they cannot only influence people to use organic product or eco-friendly products, but also, through their work, educate and motivate people to conserve the environment by using only eco-friendly products and at the same time, boycotting the use of all sorts of non-biodegradable products.
