Suppose a stick is struck against a frying pan in vacuum. Will the frying pan vibrate? Will we be able to hear the sound? Explain.
Yes, on hitting the frying pan, it will vibrate but we can't hear this vibration in a vacuum as sound needs a medium to travel. And in a vacuum sound can't travel.
