Solve the following equations and check your results.
$ 8 x+4=3(x-1)+7 $.
Given:
\( 8 x+4=3(x-1)+7 \)
To do:
We have to solve the given equation and check the result.
Solution:
$8 x+4=3(x-1)+7$
$8x+4=3x-3+7$
$8x-3x=4-4$
$5x=0$
$x=\frac{0}{5}$
$x=0$
Substituting the value of $x$ in LHS, we get,$8x+4=8(0)+4$
$=0+4$
$=4$
Substituting the value of $x$ in RHS, we get,
$3(x-1)+7=3(0-1)+7$
$=3(-1)+7$
$=-3+7$
$=4$
LHS $=$ RHS
The value of $x$ is $0$.
