To do:
We have to find the number of runs he needs to complete 10,000 runs.
Solution:
Number of runs scored by Shekhar $=6980$
Number of runs he wishes to complete $=10000$
Therefore,
The number of runs he needs to complete 10,000 runs $=$ Number of runs he wishes to complete $-$ Number of runs scored by him
$=10000-6980$
$=3020$
