Remote Sensing is one of the scientific methods that help to detect the physical properties of an area. This process is done without having any physical contact with the targeted objects. This process is mainly used for gathering information about different solar planets and Earth. Different types of fields like geology, ecology, meteorology, hydrology, geography, and glaciology used the method of Remote Sensing. Many other fields like military, planning, economics, and intelligence also used this method of sensing.
Definition of Remote Sensing
Remote Sensing technology is mainly used for gathering information on the Earth's surface without making any physical contact with the identified object. This process is a kind of technological method used in various fields like geography, ecology, and hydrology (Researchgate.net, 2022).
This is a kind of tool and it detects various factors and analyse them crucially. Detecting the fires in the forest is one of the major works that the technology did. This platform needs important elements for the detection and analysis of various matters. A target object is the main element of this process.

The process needs a platform for holding the instrument for the process. Another essential element of this technology is a sensor or instrument. The particular technology begins with the discovery of cameras in modern times (Kattenborn et al. 2021). This technology is used for different research in various fields.
Different types of Remote Sensing
Remote Sensing can be of eight types and they are the important component of this factor. Among them Optical Remote Sensing and Infrared Remote Sensing are the main types of sensing. Visual Remote Sensing System is one of the main sensing technology (Wang & Gamon, 2019).
Satellite Remote Sensing and Radar Remote Sensing are also different types of technology. Microwave Remote Sensing, Airborne Remote Sensing, and Acoustic and near-acoustic remote sensing are the types of technology that helps in different types of aspects.
Uses of Remote Sensing
Remote Sensing is a process that is used in many factors like in the special optical cameras. This process helps the scientists in sensing the functioning and properties of the Earth (Earth.jpl.nasa.gov, 2022).
It also works for the other targeted objects on the Earth's surface. It is seen that the image sensors on the surface of Earth take up a big area for aircraft and satellites. Among the different uses of remote sensing, the use of it the analysis and tracking of clouds are done through this process.

The patterns of weather, as well as the sea movements, can be detected through this process by the prediction of the meteorologists. Detecting the volcanic eruptions on the earth's surface are another useable factor of this process. The researchers get help from this process in mapping and teaching the massive forest fires (Sumbul et al. 2019). Remote sensing gives the researchers to observe a larger area from that of the ground. This technology is helpful in detecting the long-term changes in farmland and forests. The hidden underwater magnetic activities, mountain ranges, and deep canyons are analysed by using the technology of remote sensing.
Advantages and disadvantages of Remote Sensing
This method covers a large area of research and the detection of maps becomes easy in this process.
It is an easy process for data collection that decides the analysis and detection of different matters.
This method is very expensive that is used for the measurement of area.
The analysing of images needs proper training and that is why experts are needed for this method.
Principle of Remote Sensing
The main principle for Remote Sensing is that this technology has the source of electromagnetic radiation. It is reflected, or emitted by the object and it helps in classifying and identifying the object.
The principle also says that the main components are the platform and sensors. Different elements that are involved in this process are the atmosphere, radiation, illumination, transmission and many factors (Slideshare.net, 2022).
The method is used as the main aspect of Land Use Mapping. This data is useful for mapping the pattern of land and detecting the development of the region. Weather forecasting is one of the main uses of this pattern of technology. This technology helps in the study of natural hazards. Resource exploration is one of the main uses of this method.
