Respected teacher and my dear friends,

As we all know the continuous increase in the temperature of the earth is called global warming. It occurs as a result of an increased concentration of greenhouse gases in the atmosphere. The greenhouse gases include carbon dioxide, methane, and water vapour. These gases trap solar radiations released back by the Earth. This helps in keeping our planet warm and thus, helps in human survival.

The amount of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere is increasing due to the following factors

Global warming is a threat to life as it causes a lot of health problems.  It is expected that if it continues at this rate the glaciers will melt and the level of water in the oceans will rise. We may have to face dire consequences due to global warming.
