Write two observations that you will make when an iron nail is kept in an aqueous solution of Copper Sulphate. Write the chemical equation for this reaction.
1) The initial blue colour of copper sulphate solution is changed to light green colour due to the formation of iron sulphate.
2) The initial silver colour of iron nails is changed to reddish-brown colour due to coating of copper metal on the Iron nail.
The Chemical Equation is given as:
$Fe\ ( s) \ +\ CuSO_{4} \ ( aq)\rightarrow \ FeSO_{4} \ ( aq) \ +\ Cu\ ( s) .$
Iron nails+ copper sulphate--> iron sulphate + copper
