We have to write the numerals for the given expansion forms.

Solution :

a. $5 \times 10^5 + 2 \times 10^4 + 1 \times 10^3 + 7 \times 10^2 + 6 \times 10^1 + 8 \times 10^0$

$= 5 \times 100000 + 2 \times 10000 + 1 \times 1000 + 7 \times 100 + 6 \times 10 + 8 \times 1$    

                                                                                                             

$= 500000+20000+1000+700+60+8$

$= 521768$.

Therefore the numeral is 521768.


b. $9 \times 10^4 + 2\times 10^3 + 8\times 10^2 + 5\times 10^1 + 4\times 10^0$


$=9 \times 10000 + 2\times 1000 + 8\times 100 + 5\times 10 + 4\times 1$

$= 90000+2000+800+50+4$

$= 92854$.

Therefore, the numeral is 92854.
