DNA is present in the chromosomes of the nucleus of a cell and it is the genetic material.
DNA plays a crucial role in the reproduction of a cell by producing identical copies of DNA through the cellular mechanism. As newly formed DNA does not possess regular cell organization, the cell undergoes cellular and nuclear division to provide cell cover to daughter DNA and form two daughter cells from a single parent cell.
