Write the following fractions as decimals:
a. $ \frac{235}{100} $
b. $ 2 \frac{3}{5} $
Given: $( a).\ \frac{235}{100} $ $( b).\ 2 \frac{3}{5}$
To do: To write the given fractions into decimal form.
Solution:
$( a)$. Given fraction is: $\frac{235}{100}$
$\Rightarrow \frac{235}{100}=235\div100$
$\Rightarrow \frac{235}{100}=2.35$.
Thus $2.35$ is the decimal form of $\frac{235}{100}$.
$( b)$. Given fraction is: $2\frac{3}{5}=\frac{13}{5}$
$\Rightarrow \frac{13}{5}=13\div5=2.6$
Thus, $2.6$ is the decimal form of the fraction $2\frac{3}{5}$.
