Write the differences between mass and weight of an object.
Difference between the mass and weight of an object:
Mass | Weight |
1. Mass is the measurement of the amount of matter or particles in an object. | 1. Weight is the measurement of the gravitational force exerted by an object due to gravity. |
2. Mass is always a constant quantity. e.g. it does not change with the change of acceleration or change of place. | 2. Weight of an object changes with the change in gravitational acceleration or change in place. |
3. SI unit of the mass is $Kg$. | 4. SI unit of the weight is $N$ or $kg-m/s^2$ |
