Write the chemical equation for the following reactions:
1. Calcium hydroxide reacts with nitric acid.
2. Acetic acid reacts with calcium hydroxide.
3. Hydrochloric acid reacts with sodium hydroxide.
4. Ammonium hydroxide reacts with sulphuric acid.
1. Calcium hydroxide react with nitric acid to produce calcium nitrate and water.
The balanced chemical equation is: Ca(OH)2 + 2HNO3 → Ca(NO3)2 + 2H2O.
2. When Acetic acid reacts with calcium hydroxide produces Calcium Acetate and Water.
The balanced chemical equation is: 2CH3COOH + Ca(OH)2 → (CH3COO)2Ca + 2H2O.
3. Hydrochloric acid reacts with sodium hydroxide to form sodium chloride (the salt) and water.
The balanced chemical equation is: HCl+NaOH→H2O+NaCl.
4. Ammonium hydroxide reacts with sulphuric acid produces Ammonium sulphate and water.
The balanced chemical equation is: 2 NH4OH + H2SO4 → (NH4)2SO4 + 2 H2O.
