Solution :

There are many pair of positive and a negative integer whose sum will be $-7$. We need one among such pairs.

Here,  $-7$ is the negative integer. So the greater number should be negative, and smaller number should be positive.

Let the greater negative number be $-10$ and the smaller positive number be x.

Now, $-10 + x = -7$

$x = -7 + 10$

$x = 10 - 7 = 3$

$x = 3$.

The smaller number is 3.

Therefore, the positive and a negative integer whose sum is $-7$ are $3$ and $-10$
