Why the sky is blue?

Because of the gasses and particles of air present in the Earth's atmosphere, the sunlight that reaches the earth scatters in all directions. Blue light is more dispersed than other colours present in the sun's white light because it has a shorter wavelength (smaller waves), and a higher frequency. And, in addition to that, the sun emits high concentrations of blue light wavesour eyes are also more sensitive to blue. So the sky appears blue to us most of the time.
