Why the clouds become grey in colour at the time of rain?
When clouds are thin, they let a large portion of the light through and appear white. But as they get thicker, the less light makes through. As their thickness increases, the bottoms of clouds look darker. They still scatter all colours. We perceive this as grey colour.
