Why is the weight of the same object different on different planets?
Weight is the force with which a planet attracts a body towards itself. It is based on the gravity a planet possesses. It is measured in newtons. It varies from place to place depending on gravity. Mathematically,
weight = mass x gravitational acceleration
Since the gravitational force is different on different planets, the weight is different.
