Why is respiration necessary for an organism?
Respiration is necessary for an organism because respiration is a universal chemical process in which food is oxidized to release energy in the cells.
The respiration can be aerobic which uses glucose and oxygen or anaerobic which uses only glucose, the energy released during respiration is used to fuel living processes.
