Why is Petrol considered a mixture?
Petroleum is a mixture of a very large number of different types of hydrocarbons; the most commonly found molecules are alkanes (paraffin), cycloalkanes (naphthenes), aromatic hydrocarbons, or more complicated chemicals like asphaltenes.
