Why is electricity so fast?

Electricity is nothing but the movement of electrons. These electronics can move at such a fast pace that if 4 billion EV is applied, they can even gain the speed of light. The atoms in a solid are very tightly packed that even a small disturbance can disturb the whole thread, making electrons move very swiftly.
