Why Gold, Silver is present as a free state?
Metals like Na, Ca, and Mg are very reactive metals, they react with oxygen even at room temperature.
Therefore, they are never found in a free state in nature.
Metals like Gold(Au) and Silver(Ag) are least reactive in nature and occupy bottom space in Reactivity series. They rarely react with any element easily.
Therefore, they are found in a free state.
