Why does plants take carbon dioxide not oxygen?
Plants take both oxygen and carbon dioxide.
During daylight, plants take in carbon dioxide and release oxygen through the process of photosynthesis.
While at night, the plants take in oxygen and release carbon dioxide, which is called respiration. The respiration process in plants occurs in the absence of the sun.
However, there are some plants that can uptake carbon dioxide during the night as well because of their ability to perform a type of photosynthesis called Crassulacean Acid Metabolism (CAM).
For Example- Aloe vera, Tulsi, Peepal, etc.
