Why does it explode when you take dilute sulfuric acid in the ear canal and put a few pieces of magnesium metal in it and bring the mouth of the ear canal closer to the burning candle?

Dear Hard,

 When sulfuric acid and magnesium react they form hydrogen and magnesium sulfate as product. It is a displacement reaction.

dil. H2SO4 + Mg ----> MgSO4 + H2

Hydrogen gas when released reacts vigorously with air and oxygen. Hence, when it is brought near a burning candle, It produces a loud sound.

 It also proves that the emitted gas is hydrogen only.
