Why does a ship made of iron and steel float in water whereas a small piece of iron sinks in it ?
Iron and steel pieces sink in water since iron and steel have higher densities than water, however, iron and steel ships float in water since they trap a ton of air and accordingly diminish the average density of the ships (steel and iron) than water.
