Why does a nichrome wire get heated in an electric circuit whereas nichrome does?
Due to very high resistivity, a nichrome wire does not allow electric energy to pass through it easily and this electrical energy gets converted into heat energy. So the nichrome wire gets heated in an electric circuit.
