Why do we need to separate different components of a mixture? Explain with examples.
When two or more substances are mixed together they form a mixture. Components of a mixture should be separated because some components may not be useful or may spoil the useful component of the mixture.
Example: Salt is removed from seawater (mixture) and used by humans to make their food tasty. This is done by the process of Evaporation.
As sodium chloride is a salt, if the water evaporates, the salt will be left behind.
