Why do we breathe fast sometimes?

The physical activities such as cycling, running or climbing result in increased oxygen-consuming value. Our brain sends instructions to increase the rate of respiration.

When breathing becomes faster the oxygen gets into the body more quickly and the process of getting rid of carbon dioxide speeds up. This causes quick removal of excess carbon dioxide from the blood through the lungs.
