Why do passengers tend to fall back when it starts suddenly?
When the bus starts to move forward, the passengers fall backward due to inertia of rest. As we know according to inertia of rest, "An object tends to remain the state of the rest until the external force is applied." This is the reason, when the bus starts the passengers body tends to remain in the state of rest and they fall backward.
