Why displacement is a vector quantity?

Scalar quantity: It has only magnitude. For example, length, area, speed mass, density, pressure, temperature, work, energy, etc.

Vector quantity: It has both magnitude and direction. For example, displacement, velocity, acceleration, force, drag, etc.

It is represented using an arrow. The head of the arrow represents the direction in which the quantity is moving, and the number on which the arrow is placed represents the magnitude of the physical quantity.

Thus, displacement is a vector quantity, as it has both magnitude and direction.
