Why cannot a sound be heard on the moon? How do astronauts talk to one another on the surface of the moon?
On the surface of the moon, there is no atmosphere, so there is no medium also on the moon. So the sound cannot travel on the surface of the moon. Therefore, the sound is not heard on the surface of the moon.
On the surface of the moon, the astronauts use wireless radio sets to talk.
