Why honey is nutritious?
Honey is a sweet liquid made by honey bees using the nectar from flowers.
It is made up of glucose, fructose, and minerals, such as iron, calcium, phosphate, sodium chloride, potassium, and magnesium.
Honey is nutritious for us because it is a rich source of antioxidants and antimicrobial compounds, and has amazing healing properties which help to prevent cancer and heart disease, regulate blood sugar, reduce ulcers, heal wounds, ease digestive problems, soothe coughs and sore throats, and increase athletic performance.
It is also used as a cosmetic solution for skin and hair because of its softening, soothing, and conditioning effects.
The slightly acidic pH level of honey helps to prevent the growth of bacteria.
