Why acrylic is used instead of wool?

Acrylic can be used as a substitute for wool because it is a lightweight, soft and warm synthetic fibre which is wrinkle-resistant, it is cheaper than wool and; resistant to moths and chemicals. Natural fibre comes from Plants and Animals. Wool fibre is a natural Animal fibre. So it is expensive and is destroyed easily by Moth and Insects.
