Who Is James Watt?


    James Watt was a Scottish inventor and mechanical engineer made several inventions to contribute to the industrial revolution.

    His major invention includes improvement in steam engine technology to convert the steam back to water. Although steam engines were already used to pump water out of mines, his important changes to the design increased the efficiency of the steam engine and make them cheaper to run.

    Watt had given the term 'horsepower' and developed a rotary engine to mechanized weaving, spinning and transport.
