Which phenomenon is responsible for making the path of light visible?

The  phenomenon, responsible for making the path of light visible is known as the 'Tyndall effect'.

Explanation

Tyndall Effect is a phenomenon based on the scattering of light, which produces when a light beam passes through a colloid like dust, smoke, water molecules etc.

The individual suspended particles, reflect and scatter light in different directions making the light beam visible.

Example - In a dense forest, sunlight does not reach the bottom due to the shade of the many trees. If some light is somehow able to go below the canopy of the forest (the upper layer of the leaves of the forest), then we see the scattering of light. This happens because the sunlight gets scattered off by the particles of water in the air.
