Which organisms are called primitive and how are they different form so-called advanced organisms?


Prokaryotic organisms  such as bacteria without a well-developed nucleus are known as primitive organisms.

They are different from advanced organisms or eukaryotes because they lack a true nucleus, mitochondria, and any other membrane-bound organelle.
